Explosion ventilation panels are protective shields for enclosed spaces designed to release explosion overpressure into a safe zone, preventing the exceeding of design equipment (compartment) resistance. The most common and manufactured types of explosion ventilation panels are flat or dome-shaped, with some cases also being trapezoidal.
