Magnetic pulleys are highly effective separation systems used to eliminate ferrous contamination from various materials such as aggregates, granulated plastic, municipal waste and others. They are particularly suitable for continuous operation in demanding environments.
Magnetic pulleys are always installed at the discharge end of a conveyor belt. They can be installed as either a driving pulley or a driven pulley rotating by the action of the conveyor belt. For better traction, the magnetic pulley can be additionally coated with PVC rubber, providing further toughness of the belt.
These devices are manufactured in various sizes, both in diameter and length. The central axis is designed according to the customer's requirements and can be either firmly welded to the housing or removable using clamping bushings.
This equipment requires only minimal maintenance. The magnetic part can be made of different configurations of neodymium or ferrite magnets, depending on the requirements of each project.
