KARA biomass combustion grates can be of a flat or inclined moving grate type. The flat grate is used for dry fuel (4-20% moisture content), while the inclined grate is used for wetter fuel (20-55% moisture content). The flat grate is divided into combustion and burn-out zones, and the inclined grate also includes a drying zone. The grate elements are made of high-quality Ni-Cr steel, and the grate's walls are constructed with heat-resistant bricks and insulating materials. The combustion process is controlled using primary and secondary air blowers.
Technical specifications
Minimum grate capacity: 500 kW.
Maximum grate capacity: 12,000 kW.
The grate is cooled using a separate water circuit.
For capacities up to 2000 kW, the grates are fully prepared at the manufacturer's facility.
Automatic ash removal transporter.
Advantages of biomass combustion grates
Each grate is designed and manufactured for a specific project.
