Eddie current separator

Ipcentras / Eddie current separator

Eddie current separator is designed to separate non-ferrous metals (aluminium, brass, copper) from the general flow of material. Knowing that these types of metals do not interact with magnets, the separation is achieved by creating a repulsive effect by rotating powerful neodymium magnets at high speed.

The number of magnetic poles to be used depends on the size of the particles of the material to be separated. For each application the manufacturer selects the ideal configuration of the magnetic rotor. It is recommended to previously install a magnetic separator for ferrous metals (overband, magnetic pulley, magnetic drum, etc.). This ensures the integrity between the conveyor belt and the magnetic rotor providing optimal efficiency in separation.

Examples of using eddy current separator

Separation of aluminum cans from the general stream;

Removal of non-ferrous metals from crushed wood

Separation of non-ferrous metals in glass recycling;

Separation of non-ferrous metals in shredding of car parts, foundry slag, foundry sand

Separation in urban waste recycling companies as well as domestic and industrial waste.
